Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I3) has vast experience in developing, operating, and maintaining an Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS) and other biometric systems.

I3 has fielded and provides operations and maintenance (O&M) services for numerous ABIS and other biometric systems system around the world. I3 ABIS O&M services provide biometric matching, examination, and identity services on a 24x7x365 basis to a variety of U.S. Government and international customers.

I3 is a world-renowned provider of technical professionals and first-class biometric examination and operational services. Our International Association for Identification (IAI) certified examiners are recognized leaders in their field. We have been a frontrunner in the ABIS, biometric, and forensic O&M services for over ten years.

System Integration

I3 has experience developing innovative solutions for biometric, forensic, and identity management solutions. We will work with our customers to understand their requirements and develop customer solutions or integrate existing products to build cost effective and practical solutions. We have supported numerous government agencies and commercial companies in the design and integration of both innovative and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems. Our specific capabilities include:

  • Conducting system-of-systems analysis using both COTS products and emerging technologies
  • Performing system integration studies to assess viable options
  • Performing cost-benefit studies of alternative design approaches
  • Integrating disparate and distributed systems from different vendors, including enterprise level Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems (AFIS), large databases, card printing systems, and biometric security devices

Test and Evaluation

I3 understands the value of thorough testing and evaluation prior to system or prototype deployment to ensure satisfactory standards and quality. We have significant experience providing validation, verification, system test, development test, operational assessment and operational test experience to Government and industry customers. These services are adapted for the specific role required by the customer. The contractor is proficient in reviewing initial design requirements to elicit test objectives, writing detailed or informal test procedures, conducting system tests, maintaining detailed test logs and drafting presentations, white papers and test reports.

We have extensive test and evaluation capabilities based on lab, operational, and prototype testing across multiple products and customers. We have the expertise to apply flexible proven methodologies to new technologies and forms of testing in order to evaluate capabilities, demonstrate how they can meet operational gaps and provide the customer with long-term solutions, including:

  • Designing, certifying, and operating National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) biometric test labs
  • Developing measures of efficiency and effectiveness along with test procedures
  • Planning performance tests of both mechanical, electrical, hardware, biometric, and software components and systems
  • Designing and managing exercises to evaluate system performance
  • Conducting risk analysis and designing safety protocols for full-scale tests
  • Executing trade-off studies of competing testing designs to minimize cost
  • Provide field test verification and validation activities in an operational environments resulting in realistic scenario-based testing recommendations
  • Developing software for statistical analysis and interpretation of testing results
