ARLINGTON, VA, August 22, 2012 – Ideal Innovations, Inc.(I3), a veteran-owned firm specializing in forensics, biometrics, integrated security systems and force protection has been awarded the Base Expeditionary Targeting Surveillance System- Combined (BETSS-C) Standard Ground Station (SGS) Program contract by the Program Executive Office for Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and Sensors (PEO IEW&S) and the Project Manager of Night Vision/Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Target Acquisition (PM NV/RSTA). This is a three-year, firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) award contract with a maximum value of $16.6 million.
The SGS is the operator console that brings together the BETSS-C sensors, which provide specific targeting, persistent surveillance and force protection capabilities in theater. The SGS takes in, displays, and disseminates the video and metadata for these sensors and also stores video for archiving purposes. Under this contract, I3 will procure the necessary hardware, assemble components and deliver up to 345 SGS units to the Government.

Work on the contract will be performed at the team’s assembly space in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and completed SGS systems will be delivered to Huntsville, Alabama.
Two-year program provides resources to support international business
ARLINGTON, VA, August 8, 2012 – Ideal Innovations, Inc., a leader in biometric and forensic services, has been selected by The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) to participate in its two-year Virginia Leaders in Export Trade (VALET) program. Launched in January 2002, the program assists exporters in the Commonwealth that have firmly established domestic operations and are committed to international exporting as an expansion strategy.

Currently, more than 174 Virginia companies have been accepted to participate in the VALET program.

ARLINGTON, VA, April 9, 2012 – Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I3) announced today that it was issued a modification exercising the second option year on the Technology Management task order under the Biometrics Operations and Support Services – Unrestricted (BOSS-U) contract in support of the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Biometrics Identity Management Agency (BIMA). This extension brings the cumulative value of the contract to $30.5 million.
In this third year, I3 will continue to support BIMA in all Technology Management tasks, including biometric examination services for iris, latent print, 10-print, face and palms submitted from around the world to the DoD Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS). The I3 Team currently staffs 55 employees on this contract. The majority of work is performed at the BIMA facility in Clarksburg, WV.
I3 was awarded the Technology Management task order in March of 2010 as part of the BOSS-U Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract, providing biometric support and services. The original BOSS-U ID/IQ contract has a three-year base period of performance with two one-year options and a total contract ceiling of $497 million.

(I3) announced today that the company has been awarded the Force Protection Systems Omnibus contract from the U.S. Army RDECOM Natick Contracting Division for the Product Manager, Force Protection Systems (PM-FPS). This is a three year base contract with a maximum dollar ceiling value of $997 million. The small business set-aside portion of the contract, for which I3 and seven other companies were awarded, has a value of $697 million.
Under the contract, I3 will provide force protection capabilities to protect Soldiers through the use of security, surveillance and reconnaissance systems for integrated defense of military bases in the U.S. and overseas. These systems include the application of electronic detection, alarm assessment, access control, communications, and command, control, and display capabilities in order to significantly reduce the time required to detect, assess, neutralize or mitigate anticipated threats.

Prior to joining I-3, R.J. served as Senior Vice President of Business Development for L3Communications Service Group (LSG). Since 2005, he led and coordinated business development planning and operations worldwide for five LSG service sector divisions and associated subsidiaries. His responsibilities included management of LSG strategic business development, capture planning, and proposal development; mergers and acquisitions; development of new products and services; independent research and development; marketing and advertising; business development systems and operating procedures; and, business development professional development. From 1998-2009, R.J. was concurrently Senior Vice President of Business Development for MPRI, a subsidiary of L3Communications since 2000.
A retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel, R.J. served for over 22 years as an infantryman and military strategist in various command and staff positions in the White House, U.S. Central Command, Department of the Army, and the 82nd Airborne and 3rd Infantry Divisions. He received his BS from the U.S, Military Academy at West Point, MA in History from the University of Texas at Austin, and Masters of Military Arts and Sciences in Strategy from the School of Advanced Military Studies at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas.

ARLINGTON, VA, October 19, 2010 – Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I3) announced today it has been awarded three new task orders to support the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL) under the Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) Defense Forensics Enterprise System (DFES) contract, announced on September 21, 2009. Each task order has a one year period of performance and a combined value of $11.3 million.
For the Forensic Enterprise Architecture task order, the I3 DFES Team will plan and execute the program to produce and analyze a tailored set of data-driven architectural models that encompass the Defense Forensics Enterprise organizational structure, processes, systems, standards and key stakeholders. Work will be performed at the contractor site and at USACIL.
For the Accelerated Nuclear DNA Equipment (ANDE) Transaction and Transition task order, the I3 DFES Team will develop an ANDE Transaction Manager with the software and hardware necessary to create a user interface and architecture to allow for automated sharing of DNA results and related metadata. The Team will plan, prepare and conduct operational testing of an ANDE prototype at USACIL in conjunction with MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory.
For the Forensic Examiner Support task order, the I3 DFES Team will provide Chemical Explosives Analysts, Chemical Explosives Technicians and Case File Managers in support of USACIL’s Expeditionary Forensic Division to Afghanistan.
