Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I³) Awarded $30.5M Task Order by the U.S. Army’s Biometrics Task Force

ARLINGTON, VA, March 8, 2010 – Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I³) announced today it has been awarded the Technology Management task order under the Biometrics Operations and Support Services contract in support of the U.S. Army’s Biometrics Task Force (BTF). The contract is for a one year base period and two option years.

I³ will partner with the BTF to support all Technology Management tasks, which include operations and technical support services for the Department of Defense (DoD) Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS). I³ and its BOSS-U Team will provide all ABIS Biometrics Examination Services for iris, latent print, 10-print, face and palms submitted from around the world. The I³ Team will also provide all outreach and watch desk services associated with the DoD ABIS as well as systems administration and information assurance support for the DoD Biometric Systems Operational Environment. The I³ Team will staff fifty-five new and existing positions during this period, with the majority of the work performed at the BTF facility in Clarksburg, WV.

In December 2008, the BTF announced a multiple award ID/IQ contract to twelve firms that would compete to win individual task orders, providing biometric support and services in cooperation with the BOSS-U program. The original contract has a three-year base period of performance with two one-year options and a total contract ceiling of $497 million.

ARLINGTON, VA, December 3, 2009 – Last night, Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I³)'s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Richard Syretz, attended Washington Business Journal's reception as a finalist for the CFO of the Year award in the category of Government Contracting ($199 Million and Below).  This is the third year the Washington Business Journal has presented these awards to DC area CFOs and the first year that I³ has been nominated.

Since Mr. Syretz was hired in January 2008 as I³'s first CFO, he has been focused on taking the company's accounting and financial management systems to the next level by successfully implementing Government-compliant systems and procedures, reorganizing staff to handle a monthly closing and reporting schedule and providing current information for management decision-making; all while recognizing and preserving the company's unique entrepreneurial culture.

Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I³) Awarded Iraq In-Country Training Contract

Company to Provide DNA, Chemistry and Comparative Forensics (Ballistics, Fingerprints, Documents and CSI) for Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq (MNSTC-I)

ARLINGTON, VA, September 28, 2009 – Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I³) announced today it has been awarded a contract from the Joint Contract Command Iraq/Afghanistan (JCC- I/A) Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq (MNSTC-I) to provide professional advanced DNA and chemistry education and comparative forensics training for the Iraqi Criminal Evidence Laboratory system.  I³ will be supporting several laboratories in Iraq, including the Baghdad Headquarters, Basra, Erbil and the Baghdad Police Training Laboratory.  Training will be performed in Erbil, Iraq.

Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I³) Awarded Defense Forensics Enterprise System (DFES) Contract

Company to Provide Forensics Support Services to the U. S. Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL)

ARLINGTON, VA, September 21, 2009 – Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I³) announced today it has been awarded a Defense Forensics Enterprise System (DFES) (W911SE-09-D-0004) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract from the U.S. Army Contracting Agency (ACA) to provide multifunctional forensics support services to the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL).  The contract is for a base year and five option years with a maximum dollar ceiling value of $145 million.

I³ is a prime contractor on the DFES ID/IQ and is partnered with an accomplished team that will aid The Office of the Provost Marshal General (OPMG), the United States Army Military Police School (USAMPS), the Criminal Investigation Division Command (CIDC) and the United States Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL) in identifying, analyzing, developing, implementing, and fielding innovative forensics initiatives. Work on the contract will be performed in the Washington, DC area and USACIL laboratories in Fort Gillem, Georgia.

(I³) announced today it has been awarded a Time and Materials task order; the third task order under the Biometrics Operations and Support Services-Unrestricted (BOSS-U) ID/IQ contract in support of the U.S.  Army’s Biometrics Task Force (BTF).  The contract is for a base year and two option years.

I³ will partner with the BTF to execute the Military Operations and Metrics & Evaluation Support Services tasks in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) Biometrics Enterprise.  Services will include conducting operations/liaison coordination activities, providing forensics and DNA support services, metrics collection, performing technology conformance tests, evaluations, experimentations and assessments and managing audit functions.  Work will be performed at the BTF headquarters in Arlington, Virginia and at the BTF-West facility located in Clarksburg, West Virginia.

Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I³) Awarded Rapid Equipping Force (REF) Reactive Support Services Contract

ARLINGTON, VA, August 25, 2009 – Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I³) announced today it has been awarded a $41,130,215 contract (W91CRB-09-D-0053) for Reactive Support Services to the U.S. Army Rapid Equipping Force (REF). This is a single Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) award with Cost Plus Fixed Fee task orders to operate government furnished laboratories in Iraq, Afghanistan and at any other location identified by the REF. The ID/IQ will also provide stateside support to fulfill the REF mission by developing and building prototype systems that will provide potential solutions to the Warfighter.

I³ will be the prime contractor on the contract and is partnered with DRS Technologies, Millennium Corporation, UEC Electronics, LLC, The Red Gate Group (RGG) and InfoSciTex Corporation (IST). These five Team members combine with I³ to provide the comprehensive, cross-disciplinary support required by the REF.

Washington Business Journal Ranks Ideal Innovations, Inc. in List of Local Companies with Top International Revenue

ARLINGTON, VA, JUNE 13, 2008 Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I³) was ranked number twenty-one today on Washington Business Journal's list of local companies with international revenue. The rankings were based on total revenue from international operations.

With 105 employees working in Iraq and Afghanistan, I³ generated $28 million in revenue in 2007 from international operations. The company has grown from two employees at its founding in 1998 to a current staff of 315 employees, 145 of which work in the DC metro area. In 2007, the Washington Business Journal ranked I³ as the third fastest growing company in the DC area.

Ideal Innovations, Inc. Teams With The JMTC, Rock Island Arsenal to Provide Armor for The Bull^TM MRAP II Vehicle

ARLINGTON, VA, MARCH 27, 2008 Ideal Innovations, Inc. announced an agreement today that establishes a partnership with the U.S. Army Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center, Rock Island Arsenal (RIA-JMTC) for the purpose of producing armor for The Bull^TM version of the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) II vehicle.

RIA-JMTC will provide Ideal Innovations, Inc. with full service procurement, design and manufacturing services, which will result in the delivery of fully compliant certified armor components for The Bull^TM.

The Bull^TM is the next generation of vehicle armor solution for the benefit of the Department of Defense (DoD). IDEAL INNOVATIONS, INC., OSHKOSH TRUCK, AND CERADYNE, INC. AWARDED CONTRACT FOR BULL^TM MINE RESISTANT AMBUSH PROTECTED VEHICLES

Team Will Manufacture and Deliver Bull^TM Armored Vehicles to US Military for Testing

ARLINGTON, VA., OSHKOSH, WIS., & COSTA MESA, CALIF., DECEMBER 19, 2007 Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I³), Oshkosh Truck Corporation [NYSE:OSK], and Ceradyne, Inc. [NASDAQ:CRDN] announced today they have been awarded a delivery order of $18.1 million by the government to produce and deliver six Category 1 (6-man) variants and targets of The Bull^TM Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle to the U.S. Marine Corps Joint MRAP program office. The vehicles are to be delivered in the first quarter of calendar year 2008 and will be used for further government testing of their Explosively Formed Penetrator (EFP) resistant capabilities. Improving upon current MRAP vehicle protection and mobility capabilities, these vehicles are designated as MRAP II type vehicles.

This delivery order will be shipped against a $12.5 billion indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract. The companies record as firm orders and backlog only delivery orders, such as the above $18.1 million, that have firm scheduled delivery dates.

The Bull^TM, an MRAP II armored combat vehicle, is manufactured on an existing military chassis, manufactured by Oshkosh Truck, designed for off-road operations with parts, logistics, manuals and training; all of which are currently available within the Department of Defense system as part of the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) Truck Program. The new vehicle features an undercarriage design with V-shaped plates that deflect, rather than absorb, Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and mine blasts from below. The integrated design crew compartment, manufactured by Ceradyne, helps to protect the crew with an advanced armor designed to defeat IEDs and Explosively Formed Penetrators (EFPs), the most dangerous threats faced today by marines and soldiers in Iraq.

On October 2, 2007, I³, Oshkosh Truck, and Ceradyne, Inc. announced that they had delivered their initial two test vehicles to the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center. The government solicitation to industry was posted on July 31, which gave vendors 60 days to submit their proposals and vehicles for blast and road testing. The positive results displayed by the initial test vehicles have paved the way for additional user testing on the six vehicles which will follow.
