(I3) announced today that the company has been awarded the Force Protection Systems Omnibus contract from the U.S. Army RDECOM Natick Contracting Division for the Product Manager, Force Protection Systems (PM-FPS). This is a three year base contract with a maximum dollar ceiling value of $997 million. The small business set-aside portion of the contract, for which I3 and seven other companies were awarded, has a value of $697 million.
Under the contract, I3 will provide force protection capabilities to protect Soldiers through the use of security, surveillance and reconnaissance systems for integrated defense of military bases in the U.S. and overseas. These systems include the application of electronic detection, alarm assessment, access control, communications, and command, control, and display capabilities in order to significantly reduce the time required to detect, assess, neutralize or mitigate anticipated threats.

(I3) announced today it has been awarded three new task orders to support the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL) under the Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) Defense Forensics Enterprise System (DFES) contract, announced on September 21, 2009. Each task order has a one year period of performance and a combined value of $11.3 million.
For the Forensic Enterprise Architecture task order, the I3 DFES Team will plan and execute the program to produce and analyze a tailored set of data-driven architectural models that encompass the Defense Forensics Enterprise organizational structure, processes, systems, standards and key stakeholders. Work will be performed at the contractor site and at USACIL.
For the Accelerated Nuclear DNA Equipment (ANDE) Transaction and Transition task order, the I3 DFES Team will develop an ANDE Transaction Manager with the software and hardware necessary to create a user interface and architecture to allow for automated sharing of DNA results and related metadata. The Team will plan, prepare and conduct operational testing of an ANDE prototype at USACIL in conjunction with MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory.
For the Forensic Examiner Support task order, the I3 DFES Team will provide Chemical Explosives Analysts, Chemical Explosives Technicians and Case File Managers in support of USACIL’s Expeditionary Forensic Division to Afghanistan.

(I3) announced today it has been awarded a contract from the Joint Contract Command Iraq/Afghanistan (JCC- I/A) Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq (MNSTC-I) to provide professional advanced DNA and chemistry education and comparative forensics training for the Iraqi Criminal Evidence Laboratory system. (I3) announced today it has been awarded a Defense Forensics Enterprise System (DFES) (W911SE-09-D-0004) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract from the U.S. Army Contracting Agency (ACA) to provide multifunctional forensics support services to the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL). The contract is for a base year and five option years with a maximum dollar ceiling value of $145 million.
I3 is a prime contractor on the DFES ID/IQ and is partnered with an accomplished team that will aid The Office of the Provost Marshal General (OPMG), the United States Army Military Police School (USAMPS), the Criminal Investigation Division Command (CIDC) and the United States Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL) in identifying, analyzing, developing, implementing, and fielding innovative forensics initiatives. The contract is for a base year and two option years.
I3 will partner with the BTF to execute the Military Operations and Metrics & Evaluation Support Services tasks in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) Biometrics Enterprise. Services will include conducting operations/liaison coordination activities, providing forensics and DNA support services, metrics collection, performing technology conformance tests, evaluations, experimentations and assessments and managing audit functions. Work will be performed at the BTF headquarters in Arlington, Virginia and at the BTF-West facility located in Clarksburg, West Virginia.

(I3) announced today it has been awarded a $41,130,215 contract (W91CRB-09-D-0053) for Reactive Support Services to the U.S. Army Rapid Equipping Force (REF). This is a single Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) award with Cost Plus Fixed Fee task orders to operate government furnished laboratories in Iraq, Afghanistan and at any other location identified by the REF. The ID/IQ will also provide stateside support to fulfill the REF mission by developing and building prototype systems that will provide potential solutions to the Warfighter.
